As the worlds made sweeter by the sunshine and dew. so the worlds a better place because of people like you.

This page is part of my way of dealing with my loss.

Thank all those people who helped to make Trudys life better.

Some of the places and people that did so much for Trudy, and Trudy loved, are Josepth Weld Hospice and Trimar

Thanks as well to the people at the Calvert Trust in North Devon for their marvelous place which fully involved Trudy in particapating in all the outdoor activities. You wouldn't believe how happy it made Trudy to be on a horse again.

Trudy (14 October 1964);

Trudy & Kelly

I've lived for 39 years as of this date, 14 years of those were spent with Trudy, daughter Kelly & Ted the dog and were, and always will be the best years of my life.

This poem is one everyone should have heard of by now by W H Auden and is a favourite of mine. It seems fitting to add it to this page as it was liked by my Trudy and Kelly. I know it says "He" and not she, please use your imagination.

Song IX

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone.
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone.
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum.
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Trudy 2002

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead.
Put crêpe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

Trudy 2002

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

Trudy 2002

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

Trudy 2003

We were all very close and loved each to bits. Very loving and caring wife and mother.

Trudy always said that she fell in love with me at first sight, I can't say that, it took 2 weeks, but by then I was besotted with her.

Walking Ted, the dog, around the village several times a day was one of the things Trudy loved. Ted never had a lead on him when it was just Trudy and Ted yet he never left Trudys side.

Trudy always liked a lot of friends around her the more the better.

I first met Trudy whilst working on Weymouth market, if you'd asked Trudy where she met me Trudy would reply, "I found him on the markets".

Unless I had a few drinks I was rarely loud, Trudy at her best was loud, brash and beautiful and never failed to win the hearts of people around her.

Trudy was all ways "up for it", like recently on holiday, I had to hold Trudy back from joining in with the dancers on stage despite her wheelchair, but then Trudy was the first person they grabbed when they wanted the audience to join in.
